February’s Activities
We are thankful for the safe (but long) trip from Indonesia to Texas. We arrived in the San Antonio airport just after midnight on the first of February. In addition to all of my speaking appointments (mostly on-line), we worked hard to find an apartment where we will live when we are in the states.
After checking several properties, we finally found a place that we hope will be suitable for the coming years. We have a first floor apartment just six minutes from the Schertz church building. It is in a good location in Cibolo, Texas. Our permanent mailing address will continue to be: 501 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, TX 78154. You can contact me at that address or at the following: Phone: 678-538-7601. Email: jmgrubb@yahoo.com. And, of course, all of our mission reports can be read at: http://grubbmissionwork.blogspot.com
Even though we are moved in, we still have a lot of things to put up and arrange in the apartment. We are thankful for the help of all of the brethren here in moving furniture, provided assistance in a number of ways, and even providing food for us. Our current plan is to return to Indonesia in early May as we will be preparing for our annual trip to Malaysia for the Chinese Asian Bible Lectureship which will be conducted June 5-7 in Melaka, Malaysia. We will also have the privilege to speak at one or two congregations while we are there. Please keep all of these travels in your prayers.
As you can see from my speaking schedule, I am still preaching every first Sunday of the month in Taiwan (although I attend their services every week). I also speak at the Section 17 church in Malaysia the second Sunday of every month and usually attend all of their services each week. These services are all conducted in Chinese. I also attend another on-line class from Malaysia on Wednesdays conducted in English. I usually speak in this class once a month, but also serve as moderator for the question and answer session once or twice a month. Even though I am not currently teaching a class at Four Seas College – Chinese Department, I do attend the weekly chapels on Monday morning (Singapore time).
I am thankful for Daylight Savings Time coming back on March 9th. That makes it a lot easier to participate in the early morning sessions overseas.
**************
We are thankful for all of your prayers and continued support as we strive to work among English and Chinese speaking people around the world. It is because of your support that we are able to continue our work among the Chinese people in Asia and other parts of the world.
