April Events and Upcoming Activities
As we begin the month of May, we are preparing for our trip to Indonesia and Malaysia. We are not sure if there are any other countries we will visit in the months of July and August. We are scheduled to return to Texas on September 4th.
We are thankful we do not have to return all of our belongings to a storage shed because we now have an apartment we have rented. We are also so thankful for the generosity of the brethren here at Schertz, who have provided us with a means of transportation during the time we have been back in the states.
It has been my privilege to be involved with the activities at the Schertz church while we have been in the states. I have had the privilege, on occasion, to preach and teach in worship and Bible study. I have also had opportunities to lead singing on occasion as well.
While in the states for this trip I was able to get a complete check-up, including my heart. My biggest challenge is to get my extra weight off.
Chinese Asian Bible Lectureship June 5-7 in Melaka, Malaysia
As you can see from my speaking schedule, I am continuing to preach every first Sunday of the month in Taiwan (although I attend their services every week). I also speak at the Section 17 church in Malaysia the second Sunday of every month. These services are all conducted in Chinese. I also attend another on-line class from Malaysia on Wednesdays conducted in English. I usually speak in this class once a month, but also serve as moderator for the question and answer session once or twice a month. Even though I am not currently teaching a class at Four Seas College – Chinese Department, I do attend the weekly chapels on Monday morning (Singapore time).
Eta continues to recover and improve with his surgically replaced knee. She stays very active with the Ladies’ Class and other activities here at Schertz. She will have a check-up with her surgeon on our upcoming trip to Malaysia.

We are thankful for all of your prayers and continued support as we strive to work among English and Chinese speaking people around the world. It is because of your support that we are able to continue our work among the Chinese people in Asia and other parts of the world.

We want to express our appreciation to our secretary, Stephanie, for all of the help she provides for our work. She sends out all of our monthly reports, as well as the financial receipts and reports.
We are also so thankful for the encouragement we receive from the Schertz elders, deacons, and preacher. They have really made us to feel very welcome here at Schertz.
Please pray for our upcoming mission trip which will be our 85th overseas trip.
In our next report, we will be reporting from Asia.
