Taiwan-China Trip (Aug. 24-Oct. 10)

      On August 24th, I will begin my 60th overseas mission trip. I will be in Taiwan until September 13th and then I will go directly to China for the rest of the time. When I return from this trip, I still have a very busy October ahead of me. You can look at my speaking schedule to see where I will be during the second half of the month of October. Please pray for me on these trips. Praying for good health and safe travels both to and fro.

August Activities

      During the first week of August, I traveled back to Indiana to visit my mother, attend a high school reunion, and to speak at the Clay City congregation.

      On the way back to Georgia, I stopped to have lunch with Jim and Janis Dearman, Roger and Donna Campbell, and Ken and Clyde Ann Willis. Vada Rice was also supposed to join us, but because I was unable to find her house, she was not able to come.

      The remainder of the month was used in preparing not only all of the materials to be used in Asia, but also to work on the speaking assignments and manuscripts for events taking place later this year.

      On August 14th, my daughter Libby celebrated her birthday (she does not want me to broadcast her age). On August 15th, my mother, Barbara Grubb, celebrated her 92nd birthday. Some of my family members had a small birthday celebration with mom on that day. My mother continues doing about the same.

      I was also able to make one last visit with Kam Wah and Janet Leong before they head back to Malaysia. While there, of course, I also was able to see Beverly and her son, Jonah. Also, I attended the Wednesday night services at Villa Rica where I was able to see brother and sister Bob Gray, and Danny and Brenda Spain.
