May and Beginning of June Activities
During the month of May, we finished up our gospel meeting in Groveport, Ohio and I also completed the Four Seas College – Chinese Dept. class on Church History. As usual, I spoke on the first Sunday of the month for the Chinese congregation in Taichung, Taiwan (on-line), and the Section 17 Chinese congregation on the second Sunday of May.
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I taught the Church History class at Four Seas – Chinese Dept. I also attended the Tuesday night Chinese class in Malaysia, speaking twice, and the Malaysia Wed. night class, speaking once. We also had weekly chapel at Four Seas – Chinese every Monday morning. We finished the Church History class on May 31st. I will teach the Epistles of Peter, John, and Jude on-line at Four Seas – Chinese from August 1st through September 20th.
In the middle of all of this activity in May, we also made our trip back to Indonesia. We departed the USA on May 8th and arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 10th. We stayed in Jakarta until the 14th, when we flew back to Lampung, Sumatra.
After getting back to Indonesia, not only did we continue all of these activities but we also attended the Schertz Bible classes on Sunday and Wednesday through the internet.
On May 30th, we traveled back to Jakarta to spend the night before traveling to Malaysia for an eleven-day trip. We arrived in Melaka on May 31st and I taught the Friday night Bible class that evening. It was good to be there with the brethren again.
On June 2nd, I preached a bi-lingual sermon in Melaka and taught an English Bible class. June 3rd was Eta’s birthday, so we celebrated her birthday on the same day as the birthday of the King of Malaysia.
In our next report, we will talk about the rest of our trip to Malaysia, the return to Indonesia, and our upcoming return to the USA on the 3rd of July.

In Memoriam
We were shocked to learn that our long-time friend and supporter, Nancy Atchison, passed away, around mother’s day, after having suffered a stroke and a brain bleed. We had hoped to go buy and see Don and Nancy in late April on our way to Ohio, but we decided not to drive to Ohio, so we were not able to go.
In addition to all of the other work she did in the church, probably the most important work she did in the Kingdom was her work with teaching through the mail to those in prisons. Our sympathies are with Don and her family in this great loss. She will be missed.
