The Last Two Weeks of March
After returning from New Zealand, I had to
hit the ground running to catch up with all the work left sitting while I was
gone. One thing I had to do was to go to the doctor because of an ear injury I
had while in New Zealand. I burst my eardrum. I had to take antibiotics to try
to deal with that. I had also been fighting a cold for several weeks (off and
on), and so continue to work on that as well.
Two postscripts to the New Zealand trip: I
took copies of my bi-lingual DVD that I recorded at WVBS last year. I also let
the brethren in New Zealand know that these DVD lessons were also available on

On Sunday night, March 19th, I had the privilege to do a PowerPoint
presentation of my recent trip to New Zealand. Also, the hearing in my right
ear has returned. I am thankful to be able to hear again. Thanks for all your
prayers.
I made a visit to a Chinese man from Taiwan.
He is a neighbor of a member of the church in Duluth. I left him a DVD and my
card. He did not seem to be very interested, but we will see. I am also working
on getting the Facebook Messenger Video set up to continue my Bible study with
the prospect in New Zealand.
The last week in March, I attended the
Memphis School of Preaching Lectureship. While I was there, I was able to visit
with many brethren from around the world. I also had the opportunity to meet
with a number of brethren who are making preparations to go into the mission
field or are working with Chinese people here in the United States. There is
currently one Chinese family at the school. There is another Chinese student
(family) coming from Shanghai in August.
I have about six weeks before I head back
overseas. I will be going to Singapore and Malaysia. I am scheduled to speak at
the Chinese Asian Bible Lectureship which will be conducted in Ipoh, Malaysia.
In Singapore, I will speak to the English congregation at Jurong and the
Chinese congregation at Lim Ah Pin. I will also speak at Subang Jaya and
Section 17 congregations in the Kuala Lumpur area.
Before making this trip, I will be going up
to visit with my mother. Thanks for your continued prayers for her.

Ingrams Planning
Taiwan Work
While I was in Memphis, I met with Scot
and Alesia Ingram to talk about a future effort in Taiwan. In July, Scot
and I are planning a two-week trip to Taiwan to do a survey of what would be
involved in this work.
We will use this opportunity to familiarize
Scot with the challenges he will face in living and working in Taiwan. Also, it
will give him an opportunity to meet with some of the local brethren to receive
their input as well.
