Tickets Booked for March 2 – May 6
For several weeks, my wife and I have been trying to figure out how to get me back to Indonesia. It is not possible to get a tourist visa for Indonesia, so we started looking for other methods of acquiring a longer-term visa which would enable me to enter the country.
She will be applying for a ninety-day visa for me and then we will try to get me a permanent visa which will allow me to come and go as desired. Since we are not yet able to get her into the USA, and I am not able to enter any other Asian country (because of the covid), I will be spending more time in Indonesia and work from there as my base. On this trip, our #1 goal will be to complete all of the processes for the permanent visa. While there, I can continue participating in classes and worship services in Singapore and Malaysia.
In order to even make application for this visa, we have to provide bank statements (in Indonesia) and I have to buy a roundtrip ticket from the United States. Before leaving Atlanta, I will have to have a swab test result of negative within three days of departure (for Indonesian immigration), and a swab test within 24 hours for American immigration.
I have booked a ticket from Atlanta to Jakarta, transiting in South Korea. On the return trip, I will fly from Jakarta to Atlanta through Haneda, Japan. I will have to stay in a transit hotel in Korea on the way, but it will not be necessary on the return through Japan. When I arrive in Indonesia, I will take a covid test and if still negative, I will stay in a hotel for a five-day quarantine. If still negative after five days, I will be free to leave the quarantine.
As most of you know, I have not been able to be with my wife since March 20, 2020. We are hoping all of the “red tape” will be able to be “cut” and we will also be able to “jump through all of the hoops” to make this trip possible. We solicit your prayers.

Looking for Opportunities to Help in the Work
As we continue to wait for the opening of the borders to Asian countries, I continue to look for opportunities to assist in the work of evangelizing and edifying among the Asian people.
I continue to be able to speak in both English and Chinese in Singapore, Malaysia, and now, Indonesia. The teaching I will be doing in Indonesia will be with translation, primarily by Harun Tamale. I will also work on a lesson to deliver in the Indonesian language without translation.
The TanjungKarang congregation is having an on-line class on Friday night to continue to educate and edify the brethren in Bandar Lampung. This is in addition to the many other on-line sessions. I already have three speaking appointments for the month of February. One in Chinese and two in English.
Please keep our work in mind and in prayer. May the Lord continue to bless us as we strive to serve Him in His vineyard.
