Events in November
Our life in Indonesia is similar to our life in Texas. Whether I am here or there, I continue to teach my on-line classes in Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. One of the differences is: we also worship with the Schertz congregation on-line. In this way, we are able to keep in better contact with our home congregation. We are thankful to be able to tune in to the Google Meet services on Sunday and the Zoom class on Wednesday. I also take advantage of other on-line services in Georgia and other locations. My wife is able to worship with the local brethren in the Indonesian language.
On November 18th, Eta and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary.

We thank you in advance for all of your help in our efforts. We continue to put our trust in God in all things. Please continue to pray for our work for the Lord. We are so thankful for all of our supporters who continue to make it possible for us to work among Chinese and English-speaking people in Asia.
Every year, during the last couple of months of the year, we remind brethren of our on-going need of additional support. Through the years, we have lost support for one reason or another. That is true this year as well. Therefore, we are always looking for other brethren to have a part in our efforts.
We continue to thank the elders of the Schertz congregation for their continued support of this work.

Taiwan Trip (Nov. 29 – Dec. 19)
We are in Taiwan now to attend and participate in the lectureship in Taichung and to visit and teach for the congregations in Hualien and Taipei during the month of December.
We are thankful that Eta did not have any trouble obtaining her visa for this trip. We were able to book our tickets and reserve our hotel rooms right after she received her visa.
We flew two different airlines to get to Taiwan. We flew Garuda Airlines from Lampung to Jakarta in Indonesia. We flew Eva Air to Taiwan and we will also fly Eva Air from Taiwan back to Indonesia. In Taiwan, we will travel from city to city by train. Taiwan has a very good train system.
This is our 82nd short-term mission trip since 1985. We are looking forward to seeing the brethren in Taiwan, face to face, for the first time since 2019.
As I send this report on December 1st, the Taichung lectureship has started. If you have access to my Facebook page, you can read the day-to- day updates. In the January 2024 Grubb Mission Report, I will give a full account of the events that took place in Taiwan.
