January in the USA
We returned to the United States during the first week of January. We have been trying to transition to Texas life. I am currently switching doctors for my regular prescriptions (only two); switching car insurance to the state of Texas, working on getting my Texas driver’s license and license plates, etc. We were finally able to sell our house and will be renting an apartment during the time we are in the states.
During the time we are worshiping with the brethren at Schertz, we are doing all that we can to be encourage the brethren there. I have the privilege to leading singing, teach Bible class, and also to fill in preaching. Eta also attends the two ladies’ Bible classes each week.
Four Seas College Chinese Class Teaching Completed
I gave the final exam for my class on “The Preacher and His Work – Mission Work. All of the students did very well in the course. I had ten to take the tests and about ten more who took the course for the information. My next class (in April) will be on the subject of “Leadership in the Church” in Four Seas College – Chinese Department.
Again, I am thankful for the opportunity to teach Chinese students from China, Singapore, and Malaysia in the Chinese department of Four Seas College.
A New Year!

We will probably be spending more of this new year in Asia. One of the reasons for this is because the increased cost of living in the United States. It is cheaper to live in Indonesia than in the USA. Another reason is: we no longer own a house in the United States and will pay rent whenever we are stateside. Eta has her house in Indonesia, so it makes it convenient to spend more time there. We are also closer to those with whom we work in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and China. We will be going to Malaysia in May and June to work with some of the brethren there and also to attend and speak at the Asian Bible Lectureship (Chinese).
We are look forward to the many teaching opportunities we will have in the new year, both in English and Chinese.
We thank you in advance for all of your help in our efforts. We continue to put our trust in God in all things. Please continue to pray for our work for the Lord.
