Activities During the Month of August
I continue to have part in Bible classes and worship services in Taiwan and Malaysia. I also tune in to services in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and the United States. During the month of September, I will speak twice via internet platform to the brethren in Shanghai.
On August 8th, I spoke to the Chinese worship service at Section 17. I speak on the second Sunday of every month for that congregation.
On August 11th, in addition to starting my classes in the Chinese Department of Four Seas College, I spoke at the Wed. night class at Subang Jaya in Malaysia. This is an English class with questions and answers following. Currently, all of these sessions in which I am involved are online.
I spoke to the bi-lingual worship service at Subang Jaya on Aug. 29th.

Try #5 – Tourist Visa for My Wife
On Fri., Sept. 10th, my wife has an appointment to try to get a visa to America. We have a very unique situation, as most of my work is done in Asia, and the interviewers (we were told) are programmed to disbelieve any story that says the foreign wife of an American citizen is planning to go to the states and then go back to their home country. Please pray for our efforts to allow my wife at least one visit to the USA.

Four Seas College Chinese Department
Every Monday morning, we have a chapel service with songs, prayers, and a devotional lesson delivered by one of the students.
I am now teaching First Corinthians to the students, which started on August 11th. I am teaching Mon., Wed., and Fri. – two hours each morning. All of the lessons are in Mandarin Chinese, except my PowerPoint notes are in both English and Chinese. This course will continue until the end of September.
Please pray for these efforts that are being made to prepare Chinese speaking students to prepare to preach the gospel in their own language.
My wife and I express thanks for all of our financial supporters who enable me to have a part in this effort among the Chinese people. We have lost quite a bit of financial support over the last year (as have many missionaries), and we are, therefore, in need of new support from congregations or individuals to keep our heads above water.
May the Lord continue to bless these efforts to try to help spread the gospel among the Chinese-speaking people.
