September in America
As we begin a new month, we are getting ready to head back to Indonesia to continue our work in working among the Chinese and Asian people. Our flight is scheduled to leave San Antonio on October 17th. We are scheduled to return on January 27, 2024.
I have just finished teaching the course on “The Life of a Preacher – Christian Life.” Beginning in December, I will teach a Chinese course on the subject of “Exodus-Leviticus” at Four Seas College – Chinese Department from Dec. 1 through Jan. 19, 2024.
In addition to teaching in the school, I continue to meet regularly on-line with churches in Taiwan and Malaysia. This is true for every month of the year.
This includes Chinese worship with the church in Taichung, Taiwan, and the Section 17 church in Malaysia. I take part in a Tuesday Chinese Bible class in Malaysia, and a Wednesday English Bible class in Malaysia. When there are special seminars or gospel meetings on-line overseas, I also try to be a part of those efforts.
As members of the Schertz congregation, we attend all of the functions of the congregation – Bible classes and worship on Sunday and Wednesday. We also try to support efforts that take place in the area as well. Of course, when we are overseas, we can only attend the Schertz services online.

We thank you in advance for all of your help in our efforts. We continue to put our trust in God in all things. Please continue to pray for our work for the Lord. We are so thankful for all of our supporters who continue to make it possible for us to work among Chinese and English-speaking people in Asia.
Every year, during the last couple of months of the year, we remind brethren of our on-going need of additional support. Through the years, we have lost support for one reason or another. Therefore, we are always looking for other brethren to have a part in our efforts.
We continue to thank the elders of the Schertz congregation for their continued support of this work.

Taiwan in December
We are still planning to visit Taiwan to attend and participate in the lectureship in Taichung and to visit and teach for the congregation in Hualien during the month of December. We are hoping that Eta will not have any trouble obtaining her visa for this trip. We will purchase the tickets for this trip after Eta secures her visa. This will be a roundtrip ticket from Lampung to Taipei. In Taiwan, we will travel from city to city by train. Taiwan as a very good train system now.
